W.M. Associates has been a preferred supplier to Fortune 100 companies for their test and quality system needs for over 30 years. WMA remains a preferred supplier by providing comprehensive, well-engineered solutions comprised of standard software products, custom interfaces, communications software and a hardware platform which best suits the applications.
Every enterprise level software package requires setup, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance. The WMA Software Packages is no different. To accommodate these fundamental necessities, WMA offers a group of tools appropraitely named The Engineering Toolkit. This toolkit consists of many individual applications that provide the user with an easy and intuitive interface for all of our software packages.
The toolkit applications are grouped into two distinct areas:
The Data Entry & Configuration applications are used to perform the initial setup of a system starting from the definition of the I/O tags, to the definition of families, models, test points, rejects, monitors, ramps, and test sequence(s). Once all of the initial "setup" has been performed, this group of applications is then used to maintain the system. The following applications comprise the Data Entry & Configuration tools.
Tag Definition Editor - All I/O tags are defined using this application. Included in the definition of a tag is optional calibration and/or characterization information.
Parameter Editor - This application is used to configure the majority of a test system's parameters. Information defining, models, test points, limits, reject codes, monitor blocks, ramp control blocks and suggested repair text are all created and maintained using these editors. There are individual data entry windows for each different parameter type.
Test Sequence Editor - Similiar to the Tag Definition Editor, the Test Sequence Editor or TSI Editor utiliizes a graphical tree format editor. The graphical format allows the user to "program" the test sequence without having to learn a cryptic programming language. This is accomplished by using dialog based forms for information entry.
The Data Analysis applications are used by the test engineer to post process test results, troubleshoot problem situations and show the overall test process efficiency.
The following applications comprise the Data Analysis tools:
With every hosted test sytem, a suite of reports and charts are included. The Report Console is the application that is used to make filtering selections and execute a specific report or chart, using the selected filters. Users can save specific "Setups" of selected filters for frequently run reports and charts.
A few examples of the many available reports are:
The Report Console application can be run from any workstation with ODBC access to the Host Database.
The Sweep Viewer is a plotting package that is used to display sampled I/O. A sweep is a collection of ALL available I/O, plus various system states.
The Sweep Viewer can be an invaluable tool when used for initial test stand run-off, test sequence development and overall troubleshooting.
The Trace Viewer is also a plotting package, which is used to plot Trace collections. A Trace is a collection of selected I/O points, which can be collected at varying sampling rates.
