W.M. Associates has been a preferred supplier to Fortune 100 companies for their test and quality system needs for over 30 years. WMA remains a preferred supplier by providing comprehensive, well-engineered solutions comprised of standard software products, custom interfaces, communications software and a hardware platform which best suits the applications.
The NVH system was developed for production environments and is available to assist test engineers with their NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) testing needs.
The NVH system consists of a combination of background processes and a user interface. The background processes run continuously, but only perform data collection and analysis by request. If utilized as a stand alone tool, all data collection and analysis is performed using the Vibration GUI. When using to NVH system in conjunction with the Test System, all data collection and analysis is performed via the test sequence. The second method is ideal for improving the overall quality of the particular assemblies that are being tested.
The NVH System supports three different high speed DAQ cards:
For order analysis, the tachometer and/or encoder signals are captured using a high resolution timer/counter cards in sync with the accelerometer/microphone signals. The system also supports physical calibration with calibrators and smart sensors with TEDS capabilities to ensure the flexibility and consistent accuracy of the test results.
The following types of stencils are available.
Stencils can be overlaid with the current test spectra, allowing the user to quickly locate a problem area. Once a stencil has been created, it will need to be "trained". There are two different methods of performing the required stencil training.
The NVH System also has the optional functionality of order tracking.
